Things to do with your kids in and around London, as seen through the random pics on my iphone

I just looked through some of the photos I have on my iphone, and realised that not only  are some of them quite good, they also give a useful snap shot of some of the brilliant things you can do in and around London with your kids.

This is my son, Kamran, standing under a huge old oak tree at Kew Gardens last year. I love this place, and it’s even better on a beautiful Autumn day:

We all LOVE going to Camber Sands….only a couple of hours from London, but such stunning views:

The Spectrum in Guildford might not be the most glamorous location, but aren’t the trees gorgeous in the autumn. And the activities indoors are enough to keep most kids entertained for hours: swimming, bowling, soft play etc.:

The Saatchi Gallery on King’s Road is just fab. Here’s just one of the many amazing exhibits to be seen. Don’t be surprised if your kids love it too. It’s a small gallery with loads of room outside to run around in Duke of York Square, especially when the fountations are on.

Having fun at Centre Parcs, a surprisingly memorable half term:

I’m a Brighton girl at heart, and where better to spend a sunny summers day than at the seaside…throwing stones!

If you’re looking for a really good day out, you can’t beat a trip to the Diana Memorial Playground in Kensington Gardens, and here’s the pic to prove it!:

With a son in reception, I think we must have gone to well over 20 birthday parties this year. One of the highlights was the cake below, made by my friend Jo, for her son, whose party was at Chessington World of Adventures. A fabulous cake and a fabulous venue. Yes, believe it or not, this is home-made!

Gambado in Chelsea Harbour is well worth a visit, if you are looking for a top notch soft play, although expect to pay over the odds:

One year one, we were back in Kew. I just can’t get enough of the place!
